This document will help you get acquainted with the IBCT standards for certifying trainers. The three levels of trainers, namely Associate Trainer (AT), Certified Professional Trainer (CPT), and Certified Trainer (CT/HRD Consultant), are described in the manual. The last update was in June 2025.
This document explains the IBCT policy of Continuous Education and Professional Development that all certified trainers should report on. It has an example of calculating the PDAR credits. We highly advise our trainers to read this document before filling in their PDARs. This policy started in 2007 and was updated in 2013.
The IBCT Code of Conduct complaints procedure is an alternative dispute resolution system for managing the professional conduct and professional ethics of IBCT members and acts as a professional self-regulating body.
