The IBCT Train-the-Trainer (TTT) examination is assessed across three components:

• 20% — Participation, Attitude & Motivation: Active engagement, professionalism, and commitment throughout the program.
• 40% — Achievement Written Exam: Measures understanding of core training concepts, tools, and methods covered in the course.
• 40% — Micro-Training Session: A practical delivery assessment where participants plan and facilitate a short training segment to demonstrate application of IBCT standards and trainer performance.

• Design and present effective training presentations using IBCT professional PowerPoint standards.
• Use appropriate verbal, non-verbal, and visual communication techniques to enhance clarity, engagement, and learner understanding during training sessions.

• Prepare, organize, and maintain a safe and supportive training environment that facilitates effective learning and skill acquisition.
• Ensure the availability, proper setup, and effective use of training facilities, materials, and equipment to support planned training activities.

Clarify the difference between training (short-term, job-focused skill building) and development (long-term growth and capability building). Explore key corporate training concepts such as competency-based learning, performance gaps, learning outcomes, stakeholder needs, ROI/value, and how training supports business goals.

Learn how to set rules, structure the room (or virtual class), manage time, and keep participants engaged and focused.

Build a simple training plan: define objectives, organize content, choose activities, and apply core facilitation methods.

Explore the trainer’s role, ethics, and career pathway—plus how to build credibility and a professional trainer profile.

Handle challenging participants confidently using practical techniques to prevent disruption and maintain a positive learning climate.

It’s designed for new or aspiring trainers and for experienced trainers who want to standardize their training skills and earn an internationally recognized, licensed trainer level.

You’ll be able to plan and deliver training more professionally, manage the training environment, apply basic instructional design and facilitation methods, handle difficult participant behaviors, and deliver stronger trainer presentations.

It’s highly practical. The learning approach blends face-to-face training with self-study and home assignments, and includes a micro-training assessment to demonstrate real delivery skills.

Not necessarily. Many participants start as potential trainers. Having experience helps, but the program is designed to build fundamentals from a professional standard.
